Course Synopsis

Implant dentistry has evolved significantly since its inception over 40 years ago. In many cases the waiting period for prosthetic implant rehabilitation can now be bypassed, and patients can be rehabilitated immediately after implant surgery. Patients are more educated today than ever before and are seeking clinicians’ advice on what they hear and read regarding extractions, immediate implant surgery and immediate teeth.

This seminar will review both the indications and contraindications of immediate implant loading and a synopsis of the scientific basis for this treatment modality will be provided. In addition, the surgical and prosthetic aspects of immediate loading will be discussed and a step-by-step approach will be taken to allow the clinician to implement this into everyday practice. Immediate loading scenarios will be presented by reviewing various cases from diagnosis to treatment planning and execution.
