In December 1999, he published a study involving one hundred and thirty four patients with different levels of snoring and apnea using an adjustable mandibular repositioner. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and has been since 1995. Dr. Pancer served on the Standards of Practice Committee of the AASM from 2004 to June 2007. This committee published many practice parameters on various sleep disorders during this time. Importantly, in February 2006 this committee published the new “Practice Parameters for the Treatment of Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Oral Appliances: An Update for 2005” in the journal “Sleep”.
Dr. Pancer has lectured on oral appliance therapy in the United States and Canada. On Oct. 10/11, 2009 with the AADSM he will lecture in New Orleans; on Nov. 7/8, 2009 with the AADSM he will lecture in Orlando; and Feb. 20/21, 2010 with the AADSM he will lecture in Phoenix.
